Apple heeft OS X geüpdatet naar 10.5.8, vermoedelijk de laatste update voor Snow Leopard (10.6) op de markt komt. De nieuwe 10.5.8-update zit boordevol bugfixes en moet alle losse eindjes aan elkaar knopen voor de introductie van het nieuwe OS X-besturingssysteem.Hoewel 10.5.8 zich voornamelijk op kleine bugfixes richt, zijn er ook een aantal substantiële verbeteringen aangebracht. Zo is CalDav-ondersteuning eindelijk werkzaam in iCal, is de stabiliteit van bluetooth en wifi verbeterd en ondersteunt OS X nu veel meer raw-formatenvan digitale camera's.
